Saturday December 13, Bloody Elbow presents fight coverage of Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander. Showtime Championship Boxing Khan vs. Alexander airs live on Showtime this Saturday, December 13 with a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET / PT. Bloody Elbow will have live fight coverage, including results and discussion, right here.
Showtime has spent much of 2014 promoting highly lopsided Al Haymon fights, so it's nice to see a closer one here to wrap up the year. Both Khan and Alexander have had their ups and downs, with moments of tremendous hype, and moments of that hype deflating. For Khan, back to back losses two years ago really hurt his stature. He's come back with three straight wins since. Alexander had been really picking up steam with big wins over the likes of Lucas Matthysse and Marcos Maidana before his 2013 loss to Shawn Porter (Porter's own subsequent loss to Kell Brook did Alexander no favors). He's had one rebound win himself. Perhaps the biggest story here is who waits in the wings, as a showdown with Floyd Mayweather could be in the cards for the victor, especially if it's the still popular Khan.
