It's about that time again. The weather's nice, the UFC has lots of cards coming up, and Michael Bisping has a fight booked. So what does that mean? The Bisping trash talk commences. On UFC Tonight, the British fighter pulled no punches when discussing Mark Munoz, his opponent on October 26th in Manchester. Munoz had previously talked about a recent bout of depression, which Bisping was only too happy to exploit in his statement:
"He's a great wrestler, but I think he's one-dimensional. Anybody who refers to themselves as having a Donkey Kong style, I refuse to lose to. I'm far too skilled for him. He's going to try to take me to the ground and use these stupid punches. He's very powerful, and I'm not underestimating him. He's a very accomplished wrestler. Listen, I'm going to punch him in the face repeatedly, and eventually he's going to fall down. On October 26, I'm going to kick his ass, and no one's even going to think about him anymore. If they thought he was depressed before, on October 27, the day after the fight, he's going to be really more depressed then."
Bisping is coming off a decision win over Alan Belcher at UFC 159, while Munoz came back after a long layoff to beat Tim Boetsch by decision at UFC 162. I don't expect much of a response from Munoz because he seems like a pretty nice guy, but I'm sure we'll hear more from The Count in the next couple of months.
