The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 27 took place in the lightweight division, with Rafael dos Anjo putting together a great fight to defeat perennial main carder Donald Cerrone by unanimous decision. Dos Anjos dropped Cerrone in the first round with a right hook, and controlled the second round as well with a combination of striking and grappling. Cerrone showed some urgency in the third and won the round, but it wasn't enough to take the fight. The win was RDA's fifth in a row.
