Once again Chael Sonnen, the controversial UFC two-division contender, is in high demand following his UFC Fight Night 26 win over Shogun Rua. For his part Sonnen seems to want former Pride champ Wanderlei Silva. From the post-fight presser:
"Wanderlei drives me insane. Wanderlei Silva tells the media he wants to fight me. I would love to fight Wanderlei. Wanderlei insists that fight has never been offered. That's been a big marquee fight for years - to believe he hasn't been offered that fight is ridiculous, and it pisses me off. All I need for him is to say he doesn't want to do it, then I'm out. I'm not a bully, and I'm not going to pick on him - but if he continues to say it, he's going to continue to get me to respond."
What does Wandy think of all this? See for yourself:
That didn't impress Vitor Belfort, who would like a piece of Chael himself:
This made Lyoto Machida feel left out (via the MMA Hour):
"I just want to do a big fight, you know? Belfort is the first name on a list because he is a big name and a great opponent. I think Belfort is a perfect opponent for me. But, he hasn't accepted that fight. Then, Dana White told me about Nick Diaz. Nick Diaz is a great opponent, too, but I'm just waiting for UFC. Then, last Saturday, I saw the fight with Shogun and Sonnen and saw a great opportunity to fight Sonnen, too. Sonnen is a great name, a big name around the world and I think I can beat him. And he talk bad about me back in the day."
And of course just because Chael is supposed to be moving back to Middleweight, that only makes him more attractive to Light Heavyweight contenders like Phil Davis:
Who would you like to see Chael fight next?
