Rampage Jackson says Roy Jones Jr. plan was boxing and MMA bouts, talks Floyd Mayweather

Quinton Jackson's signing with Bellator has seen a small scale media frenzy around it. One of the bigger stories was the insinuation that he might have faced Roy Jones, Jr. in a boxing match for Bellator's first PPV event. Alas, that was not to be, as Tito Ortiz signed with the organization, and it was announced that he would be facing Rampage for that event.

Our friends at Fight Hub TV got a great video interview with Jackson where he states that not only were they looking at a boxing match, but were also looking at an MMA match, as well. He also drops a teaser that 'It might still happen.' I'm not sure how solid that possibility may be, but in the event one or even both proposed meetings between Jones and Jackson manage to materialize, it might end up being just the boost Bellator seems to need right now.

Rampage also discusses Floyd Mayweather and says he doesn't think Floyd is a boring fighter. He states, 'There's a lot of haters out there, and so the haters probably would say he's a boring fighter.' For more of this interview, check out the following video.
