UFC on Fox 8: Johnson vs. Moraga betting lines

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

Anderson Silva ruined me. The former champ's clown act at UFC 162 not only made me want to hit him myself, it was the straw that broke the monster's back when it comes to MMA betting. After going down 12 units in six months, I'm done. It's over. No more MMA betting for me. So I won't be keeping track of my stats here anymore, because there won't be any to keep track of. I'll stick to Kountermove and betting on hockey, thank you very much. I'll still make recommendations, but obviously you should listen to me at your own peril.

Anyway, onto UFC on Fox 8. Here are the lines:

Nothing on the main card interests looks worthy of a bet at all. Rory MacDonald will probably defeat Jake Ellenberger if he gets out of the first round, but he shouldn't be a 2-1 favorite. Honestly, the only thing that I'd even think about betting on (but I won't, because I can spend that money on beer and I always win with beer) would be Ed Herman at -235. Yes he has lost two in a row (fine, one and a NC), but he eats lower-level competition for breakfast and I figured he'd be in the -350 range. A flier on Jessica Andrade doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world either in the +450 range.

But hey, what do I know? I'm the guy that has lost more money on MMA this year than World Series of Fighting has.
