Well fans who've been anxiously awaiting the UFC debut of BJJ phenom Robert Drysdale will have to keep waiting. The Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that Drysdale has withdrawn from his UFC 163 Light Heavyweight bout with Ednaldo Oliveira due to a staph infection.
The 32-year-old Drysdale is 6-0 in professional MMA and is a 3 time world BJJ champion and ADCC submission grappling champion. At one point he was booked to appear on The Ultimate Fighter but health issues forced him to withdraw from the season.
No word on a possible opponent for Oliveira.
UFC 163 will feature Featherweight champ Jose Aldo vs. Chan Sung Jung, aka "The Korean Zombie."
