I don't think we'll be breaking any traffic records with this fight announcement, but a fight's a fight. Two welterweights who need a win will be facing off at UFC on Fox Sport 1 3 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on September 4th - Keith Wisniewski and Marcelo Guimaraes. The UFC's twitter account confirmed it:
Guimaraes (8-1-1) is 1-1 in the UFC, winning his debut over Dan Stittgen by split decision at a Fuel TV event last year, then getting knocked out by Hyun Gyu Lim at UFC on Fuel 8 in March. Wisniewski (28-14-1) has been fighting for over 15 years and is 0-3 in the UFC over two stints. His most recent fight saw him on the wrong side of a split decision against Chris Clements at UFC 145 last April.
The bout is pretty much guaranteed to be on the preliminary card of the event, which will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira.
