Ross Pearson has been very impressive since returning to lightweight late last year. "The Real Deal" has scored consecutive TKO wins over George Sotiropoulos and Ryan Couture, and on his Twitter account he hinted at a possible fight with Takanori Gomi this October.
In case you've missed it, the UFC is holding an October 26th event in Manchester, England which will be headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Mark Munoz.
Gomi is coming off a widely disputed split decision loss to Diego Sanchez at UFC on Fuel 8 in Japan. "The Fireball Kid" has had a bit of a resurgence in recent times, having beaten Eiji Mitsuoka and Mac Danzig prior to the Sanchez fight. It would only make sense to book him as if he was coming off a win, as an overwhelming majority of MMA media and fans scored the Sanchez fight for him and not Diego.
What do you think? Pearson is always entertaining to watch and is now showing off his punching power. Gomi is a legend of the sport and looks like he just about has enough left in the tank to remain competitive in the sport.
