Bobby Green injured, Tim Means vs. Danny Castillo added to UFC on Fox 8 in Seattle

Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE

The hits keep coming for the UFC's summer Fox event as officials announced today's third bout cancellation. Originally set to face Strikeforce veteran Bobby Green, Danny Castillo will now meet Tim Means in a lightweight bout. The fight is currently scheduled to appear on FX's preliminary card.

The disappointing news comes just as Green looked to be settling into a stacked UFC lightweight division. Green most recently scored an impressive submission victory over Jacob Volkmann at UFC 156 in February, a result that eventually sent Volkmann packing after his release. Means looks to get back in the win column after a decision loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC on Fox 7 back in April, while Castillo returns from a unanimous decision over Paul Sass at UFC on FUEL TV 7 in February.

Today's other alterations include Bobby Voelker stepping in to replace an injured Siyar Bahadurzada against Robbie Lawler. Also, a heavyweight bout between Matt Mitrione and Brendan Schaub looks to have been shelved for the time being.

UFC on Fox 8 takes place Jul. 27 from the KeyArena in Seattle and features a title bout between UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and No. 1 contender John Moraga.
