UFC on Fox 7 opened with a middleweight bout between Clifford Starks and Yoel Romero. Starks was on the wrong end of a fantastic flying knee KO, and it's apparently cost him his job. MMA Opinion tweeted the news today:
The UFC also removed his profile from its website. There was also this tweet from Jamie Varner that just about tips off the release:
Starks went 1-2 in the UFC, winning by unanimous decision over Dustin Jacoby in his debut and then losing to Ed Herman by submission and then Romero by KO. Looking at the rest of the fighters who lost on the Fox card it's hard to imagine any more releases beyond this one.
