USA TODAY Sports

We have more UFC injury news to report today. A welterweight fight between T.J. Waldburger and Sean Pierson is off after Waldburger suffered an undisclosed injury. Replacing him at UFC 161 in Winnipeg, Manitoba is Kenny Robertson:

Robertson (12-2) debuted in the UFC in February 2011 against Mike Pierce, losing by 2nd round TKO. He was cut after just the one fight, but returned after KOing former UFC middleweight Lucio Linhares by spinning backfist. The former collegiate wrestler lost to Aaron Simpson last July, but at UFC 157 pulled off a spectacular job-saving submission over Keith Lesnar Brock Jardine, which you can read more about in this article.

Pierson (13-6) has won his last two fights (against Lance Benoist and Jake Hecht) to improve his UFC record to 3-2. The Ontario native debuted against Matt Riddle at UFC 124, a fight Pierson won by repeatedly striking Riddle in the face, as opposed to Riddle's repeated striking of the air surrounding Pierson. His next two fights were losses to top welterweights Jake Ellenberger and Dong Hyun Kim.

UFC 161: Barao vs. Wineland is set for June 15th in Winnipeg, and you can see Robertson/Pierson on the Facebook portion of the preliminary card.
