It appears that Roger Gracie will be getting his first MMA fight in Brazil in May, and he'll be taking on a fellow Strikeforce veteran. The grappling great will meet Tim Kennedy at UFC on FX 8 on May 18th in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina. In addition to that, C.B. Dollaway will look to knock off an Ultimate Fighter Brazil contestant in his home country for the second straight time when he meets middleweight winner Cezar Ferreira. Both bouts were confirmed by Brazilian site Porto de Vale Tudo.
Gracie (6-1) dropped to the middleweight division last year and has reeled off two straight wins so far. The last was a second-round submission of Anthony Smith at the final Strikeforce event in January. Kennedy (15-4) also competed at that event, submitting Trevor Smith in the third round. Kennedy twice challenged for the Strikeforce middleweight title in the past, but came up short in bouts with Ronaldo Souza and Luke Rockhold.
Dollaway (13-4) took on Daniel Sarafian in the co-main event of UFC on FX 7 in January, and managed to defeat him by split decision in a fight of the night performance. Now he'll get the chance against TUF winner Ferreira (5-2), who hasn't competed since his win over Sergio Moraes back at UFC 147 to win the show.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Vitor Belfort and Rockhold.
