Two recent winners from "The Ultimate Fighter" will meet at UFC 160 as Robert Whittaker (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) takes on Colton Smith (3-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 160 in May.

UFC officials recently announced the welterweight bout

Smith took the TUF 16 title by grinding out the favorite Mike Ricci in the finale, and earning a comfortable unanimous decision victory. The 25-year-old won all four of his TUF fights by decision. Smith is an active member of the US Army who was granted special permission to compete on the show.

The 22-year-old Australian Whittaker won the inaugural TUF: Australia vs. UK lightweight title with a unanimous decision nod for the UK's Bradley Scott. Whittaker won his first two TUF fights by KO, and won "Knockout of the Season" honors for his 19 second mauling of Luke Newman.

UFC 160 is scheduled for May 25th at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva as the main event. It's likely that Smith and Whittaker will fight on the preliminary card.
