31-year-old veteran MMA fighter Rory Markham was arrested on a felony assault charge according to police in Davenport, Iowa. Not many details of the incident in question have come out as of yet, but Markham is now out on bail. MMA Fighting has the info:
According to Scott County (Iowa) public records, Markham, who turned 31 on Monday, was booked on one felony, willful injury count Wednesday morning. He was held at Scott County Jail for more than three hours before being released on $10,000 bond.
The Miletich Fighting Systems competitor is 16-6 in his 10-year career, but he has not fought in over three years. His last bout was a loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 111 where he missed weight. That was his second straight loss and he was released after the fight. He was also in the IFL for a long stretch before that. More recently, he's taken up acting and has been working on a few films according to his wikipedia page.
