The UFC has announced two more featherweight clashes for their summer show in Las Vegas, as Cub Swanson fights Dennis Siver in one bout, while recent title challenger Frankie Edgar fights Charles Oliveira. Per the UFC's official Twitter account:
Swanson (19-5) has won 4 straight fights, including a fantastic UFC on Fuel 7 co-main event war with fellow contender Dustin Poirier. Siver (21-8) was actually supposed to fight Cub on that February card, but an injury forced him off the show. He's won both of his previous FW bouts over Diego Nunes and Nam Phan.
Former LW champion Edgar (15-4-1) has not fought in a three round fight since he choked out Matt Veach in 2009. Since then he's fought in 7 straight title fights, including an immediate FW title shot against Jose Aldo, which he lost by unanimous decision. Oliveira (16-3, 1 NC) was knocked out by Swanson at UFC 152, but otherwise is 2-1 at featherweight with submission wins over Eric Wisely and Jonathan Brookins.
UFC 162 is on July 6th in Las Vegas, headlined by Anderson Silva's title defense against Chris Weidman. There are three featherweight fights on the card - Ricardo Lamas/Chan Sung Jung as well as the fights announced tonight.
