A pair of middleweights have been added to the UFC on Fuel TV 10 card in Brazil. Tatame reports that Brazil's Ronny Markes will face off against ex-Strikeforce fighter Derek Brunson on June 8th in Fortaleza. The event is also the season finale of TUF Brazil 2.
Markes (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has won all of his UFC fights by decision, including his last one against Andrew Craig in January. He possesses a grinding wrestling style and has used his strength and size to outmuscle the likes of Craig, Aaron Simpson, and Karlos Vemola.
Brunson (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) replaced Vemola at UFC 155 to face Chris Leben, and was able to use his wrestling abilities to earn an ugly but effective decision win over the hard-hitting Leben. He went 3-1 in Strikeforce, with that lone defeat coming via KO against Ronaldo Souza.
It is unknown whether or not this will be on the Fuel TV main card or Facebook preliminary card.
