The UFC will return to Asia in January, but they will be entering a new country with their Fight Night series. UFC Fight Night 34 will take place in the Marina Bay Sands Resort and Casino in Singapore on January 4th. The focus will likely be on Asian fighters (as most regional events are), but the main card has seen a bunch of upheaval since it the top bouts were announced. Jake Ellenberger is out of the main event with an injury, and the headliner will now see Tarec Saffiedine taking on Hyun Gyu Lim.
In addition to that, Hacran Dias is out of his bout with the debuting Tatsuya Kawajiri and the promotion is currently looking for a replacement. Right now the card is very light on names, but that could change. The UFC also announced that the card will air on a new UFC digital network, and they will charge a fee to watch the event.
