With Caceres vs. Gagnon postponed, Kedzie vs. Correia opens up UFC Fight Night 33 main card

Bantamweights Alex Caceres and Mitch Gagnon were scheduled to open up the UFC Fight Night 33 main card this week in Australia, with both men rising up the ranks based on their recent performances. Unfortunately, the Canadian Gagnon has some Visa problems thus is out of the fight entirely. With the news coming on such short notice both men have been scrapped from the card and will be re-scheduled at a date TBD.

Replacing the men's 135ers on the Fox Sports 1 broadcast are a pair of women's 135ers in Julie Kedzie (16-12) and newcomer Bethe Correia (6-0). Kedzie is currently on a three fight losing streak with her sole UFC fight to date resulting in a decision loss to Germaine de Randamie this past July. Correia is an undefeated Brazilian who is replacing the injured Aleksandra Albu.

Meanwhile, Takeya Mizugaki/Nam Phan becomes the new "headlining" Fox Sports 2 prelim bout, while Bruno Santos vs. Krzysztof Jotko is bumped from the UFC.com prelims to TV. Ben Wall vs. Alex Garcia is left as the only streamed fight.

UFC Fight Night 33 airs live on Fox Sports 1 at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT on Friday, December 6th.
