Things went very wrong for Anderson Silva last night in his UFC 168 bout with Chris Weidman. The legend ended up suffering a nasty injury when a leg kick went wrong, ending the fight and putting Silva's future into question. He had surgery on his broken leg bones last night and is currently in the hospital, but he took the time to send out a message to his fans and friends via Instagram. Here's what he said:

I want to thank all my fans and friends for their support and caring messages, I'm fine now and I need to be with my family, a good rest with my children and wife will help me in recovery. Thanks Brazil.

He also included an accompanying, older photo of him laughing with them:

I sincerely hope that we get to see Silva in the octagon at least one more time but these types of injuries are very tough to come back from, especially when you're 38. Either way, at least he'll have a lot of support during his recovery.
