Holly Holm won't be making her UFC debut just yet. Sure UFC champ Ronda Rousey is talking about her wish to face Holm, sure UFC president Dana White admits that the fans are asking him to sign Holm, but fans will just have to wait a little longer.
Legacy FC is telling Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting that they've booked Holm against Julianna Werner to fight for their first-ever women's Bantamweight title. The fight is expected to take place the fight is on April 5 in Holm's hometown of Albuquerque, N.M.
Holm is 6-0 as a pro MMA fighter. She's 32 years old and was 33-3-2 as a pro boxer and is widely considered one of the best women ever in that sport.
Werner is also 32 years old, a former kickboxer with a record of 24-3 and is 7-3 in pro MMA.
According to what Holm's trainer and manager Mike Winkeljohn of Winkeljohn-Jackson's MMA told MMA Fighting, they are in talks with the UFC but "are just a little far apart" on the exact terms of a possible deal.
