The UFC isn't wasting any time in booking a couple of winners from the UFC on Fox 9 card earlier this month. UFC 169 on February 1st in Newark will play host to a lightweight battle that should be one of the highlights of the undercard. The UFC News twitter feed has the info as usual:
Abel Trujillo (11-5) is coming off a big win over Roger Bowling after their first bout went to a No Contest. In the second bout, Trujillo picked up a decisive knockout to put the rivalry to rest and move onto new things. The Blackzilians product is 2-1 (1 NC) in the UFC overall. Bobby Green (22-5) will be fighting for the third time in three months.
He was a late replacement on the Fox card and took on a tough challenge in Pat Healy, but he was able to pick up a strong unanimous decision victory to move to 3-0 in the organization overall.
As stated above, the bout is likely to take place on the undercard of the event. The headliner of UFC 169 is a UFC bantamweight title unification bout between Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao.
