BE's Baddest MMA Greatest of All Time Tournament: #2 BJ Penn vs #3 Jose Aldo

June M. Williams

I have to admit, I didn't expect the Bas Rutten vs. Wanderlei Silva showdown to be a close one, with Silva's higher profile giving him an easy victory. But El Guapo put up a valient fight, ultimately falling to Silva by a respectable score of 94-81. Not at all bad for a guy who the vast majority of fans never saw fight live. Wanderlei now awaits the winner of Wednesday's Fedor vs. Couture superfight.

Today, we close out the 2 vs 3 seeds series. Right now, the #3 seeds are in the lead 2-1. Will things even up this time? Here, it's former UFC Welterweight and Lightweight champion B.J. Penn (16-9-2) as the #2 seed. He takes on the challenge of UFC Featherweight champion #3 Jose Aldo (23-1). Only one man can move on to challenge Jon Jones in the Elite 8.
