UFC on Fox 9 salaries: Demetrious Johnson and Urijah Faber top earners

UFC on Fox 9 drew a crowd of 11,573 fans to Sacramento's Sleep Train Arena on Saturday night. The live gate for the fight card totaled $1,066,610.

The majority of the $1,007,000 that was paid to the fighters in disclosed salaries went to UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and Urijah Faber.

Johnson, who earned a first round knockout win over Joseph Benavidez took home a total of $175,000 for his title defense. Faber pulled in $200,000 for his co-main event submission win over Michael McDonald.

Johnson saw his pay take a huge jump from his last title defense. Johnson earned a total of $58,000 for his UFC on Fox 8 win over John Moraga.
