Fox Sports 1 to televise 'TUF: Nations' starting January 15th

USA TODAY Sports

Early next year UFC fans in the USA will be treated to an international version of The Ultimate Fighter. Fox announced yesterday that The Ultimate Fighter: Nations will premiere on Fox Sports 1 on Wednesday, January 15th. That's also the same day as UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Philippou so that card will probably serve as a lead-in for the new show.

TUF: Nations will pit Canadian fighters against Australian fighters, and it marks the 2nd time that Australia has been featured on an international version of TUF. Last year, it was Australia vs. United Kingdom in TUF: The Smashes. The coaches for this edition are Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke, both of whom were on previous US editions of TUF.

No word yet on the full cast, which will feature middleweights and welterweights. Coaches Cote and Noke will fight at welterweight at a date TBD (the current rumored location is Quebec City). Sportsnet 360 and FX will air the show in Canada and Australia respectively.
