Saturday November 9, Bloody Elbow presents live fight coverage of Mikey Garcia vs Rocky Martinez, live on HBO. HBO Boxing After Dark Martinez vs Garcia airs live this Saturday, November 9 with a fight time of 9:30 p.m. ET / PT. Bloody Elbow will have live fight coverage, including results and discussion, right here.
Mikey Garcia has had an interesting year so far. He's 2-0 in 2013, with wins over big names in Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez. He's looked very impressive in both fights as well, showing an increased aggression that has really benefited his game. At the same time, he has not been without controversy. He stepped out of the Salido fight after suffering a broken nose in a move that many questioned. Then, against Lopez, he failed to make weight, losing his title on the scales. He now (perhaps wisely) moves up in weight to take on Rocky Martinez, another notable fighter this year. Martinez is also undefeated this year, with a split draw and split decision win, though most felt he should have lost the fight with Juan Carlos Burgos. He is a good test at a new weight class, but looks to be the clear underdog here.

Garcia vs. Martinez caps off a triple-header on HBO that includes a surprisingly huge name on the undercard. Nonito Donaire, 2012's boxer of the year, is stuck on the undercard here as he looks to rebound from his loss to Guillermo Rigondeaux. I can't remember the last time a fighter went so quickly from pound for pound top fighter and headliner to undercard, but here Doanire is. He takes on Vic Darchinyan, who will be looking to gain revenge for his upset loss to Donaire back in 2007.
Opening the show is two undefeated fighters, as Demetrius Andrade takes on Vanes Martirosyan.
