I'm going to start this off with some honesty - I didn't watch TUF 18. As many around here know, I just don't have any desire to watch a reality show and haven't cared about TUF at all since it peaked at season five. That obviously means I don't know a lot about the contestants on the show. But I do know how the UFC deals with TUF fighters, and there are a lot of people on the card that I do know, so I'm going to focus on that.
Since this is a card that not many people care about (let's face it - you're probably shopping right now and it'll be a miracle if anyone reads this), I'm going to do an abbreviated version with just the fighters in jeopardy listed. Spoiler - it's not a long list.
The UFC has already jettisoned all of the guys from the show except for the finalists and they're looking to build the women's division, so I don't see many people getting cut unless they lose badly. Even the guy that comes up short in the men's bantamweight final will probably be given at least one more fight. And both ladies that made the finals are sticking around for sure.
Likely to be cut with a loss
Roxanne Modafferi - Pennington and Duke apparently fought a great fight on TUF, and even if they lose they'll probably get another shot just based on that. Unfortunately, Roxy doesn't have that kind of momentum and if she loses here, she'll probably be one-and-done with the UFC. Which sucks, because I've always liked her.
Peggy Morgan - The same thing applies here. Plus she only has two pro fights to her name (this will be her third). The UFC could decide to send her out to get a few wins before they bring her back. Even though she's 33.
Possibly cut with a loss
Maximo Blanco - There isn't much to pick from among the other guys on the card - they're either making their debuts in thin divisions or they won their last bout. Blanco did win his last bout too, but a loss would drop him to 1-2 in the division. His fight with Sicilia was good though and I expect this bout with Corassani to be as well, so there's a good chance he'd be sticking around no matter what. But seriously, who else am I supposed to put here. Nate Diaz? Come on.
