Glory 12's main attraction is the Lightweight tournament. The one night tournament is a longtime fixture of kickboxing, and Glory is keeping that tradition alive. Last time out, at Glory 11, the tournament delivered an incredible performance from Rico Verhoeven. This time out, it's Giorgio Petrosyan who stands in the spotlight.
There have been a lot of accolades thrown at Petrosyan, and all are very well deserved. The man is a technical genius whose kickboxing is as good as it gets. The best way to know that is to watch for yourself.
Watch this Glory full fight video of Giorgio Petrosyan vs. Davit Kiria at Glory 3 last year. This was the semi-finals of a 16 man tournament. Petrosyan arrived at this fight with a win over Ky Hollenbeck earlier in the night, while Kiria had defeated Shemsi Beqiri. Kiria was the clear underdog, but his wins over Beqiri and Kem Sitsongpeenong in the round of 16 were both very impressive, alerting the kickboxing world that this was a fighter to watch.

More Glory 12 coverage from Bloody Elbow
This fight is a perfect example of what Giorgio Petrosyan does best. He counters Kiria's aggression, lands crisp, perfect offense, and forces Kiria into the kind of technical battle where Petrosyan thrives. This is the essence of Giorgio Petrosyan. If Kiria (or Andy Ristie or Robin van Roosmalen) want a different outcome tonight, they will have to do the semeingly impossible and force Petrosyan out of his game. We'll see if anyone can make that happen live on Spike tonight.
