While the hot news in MMA is all about the future of "GSP", a fight has been made for "OSP" next January. UFC officials announced last night that ex-Strikeforce light heavyweight Ovince St. Preux will take on veteran Thiago Silva on the main card of UFC Fight Night 35 in Atlanta.

St. Preux (14-5) is a former college football player out of the University of Tennessee who has compiled a 7-1 record between Strikeforce and the UFC. His UFC debut ended in a technical decision win vs. Gian Villante after he poked Gian in the eye in round 3. OSP's next fight saw him annihilate Cody Donovan in 2 minutes at UFC Fight Night 26 in Boston.

Silva (16-3, 2 NC) was once one of the top light heavyweights in the world, but in recent times he's had inconsistent performances in the cage and two failed drug tests, which resulted in "No Contests" against Brandon Vera and Stanislav Nedkov. His last fight was a sluggish decision win over Matt Hamill, noted mostly for his inability to make weight, but he did impress with his 1st round KO over ex-Strikeforce champ Rafael Cavalcante in June.

UFC Fight Night 35 is scheduled for January 15th and features a middleweight main event between Constantinos Philippou and Luke Rockhold.
