Another Anderson Silva fight, another blow-out win. Silva is our first #1 seed to advance to the final 8. He took out Frank Shamrock with a dominating score of 142-15. Add that to his first round defeat of Jon Fitch, and Silva is now a combined 271-27 in this tournament. It's going to be tough for the winner of Chuck Liddell vs. Matt Hughes to derail Silva.
Today, following up on Georges St. Pierre's controversial win at UFC 167, the UFC Welterweight champion sees action in our tournament. The #1 seeded GSP (25-2) faces #5 seed Mirko Cro Cop (28-11-2(1)). The winner will move on to face Dan Henderson in the quarterfinal round. Can GSP dig deep and take out the feared Cro Cop? Or will his odd behavior of this past weekend be his undoing?
