Here are ESPN's video highlights from last night's WBC Light Middleweight (154 lbs) Championship fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (40-0-1, 29 KOs) and valiant underdog Josesito Lopez (30-4, 18 KOs) that aired live on Showtime last night. It was a very good performance from Alvarez who utterly dominated Lopez en route to a 5th round TKO finish.

Round 4 - Lopez constantly on his backfoot now. Eating shots against the ropes. Two right hands back Lopez up and they clinch, Cortez separates them. Canelo just misses a left uppercut. And I think Canelo just threw a low blow. Timeout is called by Cortez and Lopez is recovering. Replay looks to be below the belt line. Time back in with 1:10 left. Lopez firing away combinations but with little power or effectiveness. Lethal head-body combination against the ropes sends Lopez down yet again. And he's saved by the ball again. 10-8 Canelo
Round 5 - Lopez eating more shots against the ropes, Cortez is looking closely. Lopez is throwing but Canelo is avoiding so easily. Canelo and Lopez fighting inside but Canelo is landing cleaner shots and Lopez is hurt again. Lopez lands a good right cross. Canelo throws short uppercuts inside. Now he's unleashing more shots, two more right hands, and Cortez steps in to stop it just before the end of the round. Just pure dominance from one of the best in the world. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KOs) def. Josesito Lopez (30-5, 18 KOs) via TKO (referee stoppage) at 2:55 of round 5 to remain the WBC Light Middleweight Champion.
