A bunch of betting lines for future UFC events dropped over the weekend, so I figured it'd be a good idea to just cover them in one handy post. None of these are major surprises, but there's definitely some money to be made. Before we get to the new lines though, I'd like to provide a quick update on one that opened last week - namely, Ben Henderson vs. Nate Diaz at UFC on Fox 5 in December. That line opened on Sportsbook with Bendo at -340 and Diaz at +260 which was totally insane. ALL of the early betting was on Diaz (obviously) which made other sites open their line a lot more conservatively. Here's how it looks right now (via BestFightOdds):
That looks a lot more realistic. Okay then, let's get onto the new(ish) stuff. The line for the UFC 153 main event featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Erik Koch is totally one-sided, as expected:
But another major UFC 153 main card fight, a welterweight battle between top prospect Erick Silva and former title challenger Jon Fitch, is pretty close:
After the jump, we'll take a look at the Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le fight at UFC on Fuel 6, and the TUF 16 Finale coaches fight between Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin.
Franklin is a pretty big favorite, as expected:
Carwin is coming off major surgery again, but I'm actually surprised he's not a bigger favorite (it should be noted that this fight isn't 100% confirmed for the finale and might end up on PPV somewhere):
Out of all of these, I believe that Fitch and Carwin have the most value. I think Diaz still has value at +145 as well. Happy betting folks.
