Urijah Faber and Renan Barao faced an uphill battle when they met in the main event of UFC 149. They were already main eventing an card that had been decimated by injuries and fights getting moved around, but then the rest of the main card had been pretty miserable as well. So, without fireworks, the crowd was not going to be thrilled.
The fight didn't exactly deliver those fireworks as Barao walked down a moving Faber and landed leg kicks and the occasional punch flurry to get the edge on the scorecards.

The crowd booed through much of the fight and booed Barao's excited celebration in the cage as he and his camp were wildly excited about his interim title win. He will now fight Dominick Cruz to declare a "true" champion at 135 pounds sometime after Cruz recovers from his knee injury.
