T.J. Dillishaw defeated Vaughan Lee by submission (rear naked choke) at 2:36 of round one
T.J. Dillishaw showed off what got him to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 14, fending off an early striking attack from Vaughan Lee to take over and quickly submit the British fighter. The tide turned with a missed head kick from Lee, and Dillishaw was all over him after that. The finish came at 2:33 of the first round.
Lee came forward quickly with some solid striking that had Dillishaw backing up. Lee whiffed on a leg kick though, and Dillybar slammed him to the mat. Lee popped up, but Dillishaw took his back standing with both hooks in. He managed to slip his arm over Lee's chin and looked for a rear naked choke. His arm wasn't under the chin, but he squeezed the jaw until he got the tap. Not the best start for Dillybar, but a hell of a finish.
Dillishaw came into the bout looking to build on his win over Walel Watson, while Lee was looking to build on his big win over Kid Yamamoto at UFC 144.
