Glover Teixeira (17-2) has been waiting for a long time to make it to the UFC. He'll finally get his chance on May 26th in Las Vegas when he faces TUF 8 veteran Kyle Kingsbury (11-3, 1 NC) at UFC 146. UFC.com offers the abbrievated news:

Longtime standout Glover Teixeira makes his highly-anticipated UFC debut in a light heavyweight bout against Kyle Kingsbury.

Not exactly the most detailed fight announcement, but there were a lot of fish to fry in that article. It seems like Teixeira has been perpetually UFC-bound since he knocked out Sokoudjou way back at WEC 24, but visa issues and injuries have kept the Chuck Liddell-trained Brazilian out of the organization. There are conflicting reports about whether he actually signed back in January or not, but he was offered a fight at UFC 142. He had to turn it down due to an injury, but he'll take a 15-fight win steak into the octagon in May instead.

Kingsbury was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 8 and dropped his initial UFC bout to Tom Lawlor, but put together an impressive four-fight winning streak in the aftermath, picking up two fight of the night bonuses along the way. His streak was stopped in his most recent bout against TUF 1 alum Stephan Bonnar, who picked up a unanimous decision win over "Kingsbu" at UFC 139 in November.
