Dana White says Brock Lesnar will return early in 2012. Shane Carwin says Alistair Overeem is close to a deal with the UFC. Frank Mir welcomes a fight with either man.

Mir spoke with Middle Easy (transcription by MMA Mania):

"If [a third Lesnar fight] works out, it works out. I just want to fight again, it doesn't matter who. [Fighting] Alistair Overeem would be pretty cool if he actually came over. I think he's a great fighter, I think he's done a lot in this sport, his K-1 accomplishments, I think he's an immediate threat. I'd like to test myself against him."

Mir has split a pair of bouts against Lesnar. In the first, Lesnar's debut, Mir submitted Lesnar with a kneebar at the ninety second mark. Lesnar got his revenge in the rematch, finishing Mir with strikes in the second round at UFC 100.

A third option for Mir is Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who is seeking revenge for a second round TKO at Mir's hands at UFC 92. Nogueira recently knocked out heavyweight prospect Brendan Schaub at UFC 134.
