Melvin Guillard vs. Ronys Torres - Round 1 - Head kick by Melvin just misses. Torres with a quick takedown and Melvin pushes back to the cage and is trying to wall walk to his feet but Torres controls the wrist to prevent it. Guillard is able to explode out and is back to his feet. Jab by Guillard. Torres shoots in again and gets the takedown into half guard. Guillard uses strength to push out and sweep to top and then stands up. Leg kick by Melvin. Torres tries a flying knee but doesn't land. Spinning back fist by Melvin misses. Right hand counter by Torres lands. Quick jab by Melvin and then he lands a knee as Torres shoots in. Torres keeps pushing forward and gets the takedown into Melvin's full guard. Torres is on top landing some short punches. Melvin sitting against the cage and working to wall walk and he's able to stand back up. Left hand lands for Guillard. The round ends and it was 10-9 Torres but Melvin was able to survive on the ground. Round 2 - Ice was spilled into the cage and they're speeding to try and cover it up. They leave ice on the floor and they are just pushing it around. Rogan calls them the three stooges. Rogan is directing them to clean it up better. Finally they're back to fighting. Torres charges in and shoots the double. Torres lifts Guillard up and almost out of the cage but nothing comes of it. Body kick by Guillard. Knee lands hard for Gullard as Torres shoots in. Torres tries for the takedown again and can't finish. Guillard with a body kick and a right hand and now he seems to have his timing down. Leg kick, punch combo for Melvin. Knee lands as Torres shoots again. Right hand lands for Melvin. Leg kick lands for Melvin but Torres takes his back standing. Roll out by Melvin and Torres is on top in the half guard. Torres looking to work a kimura now and Guillard is on top. Torres is working his legs high in the guard. Guillard lands a few punches as the round ends and he just evened the fight up at a round a piece 19-19. Round 3 - Right hand by Melvin just misses. Overhand right lands now. Torres shoots and Melvin sprawls out successfully. Overhand right lands hard for Melvin and now a jab. Leg kick lands. Two punch combo lands for Guillard and Torres misses his counter shot. Uppercut lands for Melvin but he gets taken down. Torres has side control now. Torres keeps trying to work for the mount but Melvin is defending well. Guillard with a very nice escape back to his feet and he never took any damage while they were on the floor. Body kick lands for Melvin. Right hand by Torres. Right hand for Melvin and now Torres shoots again and eats some elbows to the side of his head. The scoring here has to come down to the fact that Melvin is landing while they stand up and Torres is not able to do anything of note with his takedowns. Again Melvin to his feet and Torres takes him down but Melvin reverses into mount and he lands some punches as the round ends. 10-9 Guillard should give him a 29-28 win. Official Scorecards: 29-28 across the board for Melvin Guillard. Melvin Guillard wins by unanimous decision.
Mac Danzig vs. Justin Buchholz - Round 1 - Buchholz throws a jumping kick and Danzig lands a flurry of punches. Now a leg kick lands for Mac. Justin lands a right hand clean. Punch lands by Danzig. Right hand lands for Mac again. Now they trade and Danzig gets the best of the exchange. Buchholz is unloading with shots and Danzig is hurt. Right hand lands for Mac as he starts to recover. Combination ending with a leg kick for Mac. Justin throws some more big shots and Mac looks like he's thrown off by the aggression. Right hand lands for Danzig. The round ends and it was hard to score but Justin landed the harder shots and dazed Mac at one point so I'd give Buchholz the round 10-9. Round 2 -Mac shoots in and Buchholz defends well. Right hand lands for Danzig. Now Mac is able to get the double leg into side control. Mac throwing some punches and tries to get the mount but gets a leg caught into half guard. Buchholz grabs a kimura from the bottom but can't finish. Mac is back to side control and now passes to full mount. Justin gives up his back but rolls to top position. Mac tries to get an armbar but can't finish it and now has Buchholz in his full guard. Great sweep to mount by Dazing and he is landing a flurry of punches and elbows as the round ends. Buchholz complains about the 12-6 elbows. 10-9 round for Danzig. Round 3 -Body punch for Danzig and Buchholz misses with a wild punch. Right hand lands for Buchholz now. Throw attempt by Mac goes wrong and he ends up on bottom. Back to the feet they go and Danzig is landing punches here, so Buchholz fires back but Mac got the best of the exchange. Mac with another good combination and now a takedown into side control. Knee on belly. Buchholz gives his back and Danzig can't get the hooks in. Danzig landing punches and now has the back landing more shots as the round ends. 10-9 Danzig and he wins the fight 29-28 on the Bloody Elbow scorecard. Official Scorecards: 29-28 across the board. Mac Danzig wins by unanimous decision.

Frank Trigg vs. Matt Serra - Round 1 -Serra with a straight right to the body. Trigg is very flat footed. Trigg with a nice hand combination. Kick by Serra and then a punch that lands. Left hand lands for Serra. Trigg is doing a nice job of keeping distance. Leg kick by Serra. Oh man! Big punch lands for Serra and Trigg is hurt, a few more and Trigg goes down and he's out. It was a looping right and then another. Trigg went down and Serra landed some heavy punches to the head and Trigg went limp. Trigg says he was fine but that was a perfect stoppage. Matt Serra wins by KO (punches), round 1.
Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller - Round 1 - Miller throws a right hand that misses. Low kick by Miller lands. Both men land right hands as they engage. Maia is trying to cut off the cage and does manage to get the clinch. Maia working for the single leg and Miller defends initially. Miller is able to push away and avoid the first attempt to go to the ground. High kick by Maia misses. Inside leg kick lands for Miller now. Right hand misses by Maia. Kick by Maia and he follows it in to a double leg. Miller scambles back to his feet and takes a low blow. Rather than stop it as Miller grabs at his groin Mazagatti allows him to eat several punches before stepping in. They are back to fighting now and Miller looks okay. Leg kick lands again for Miller. Jab lands for Miller. They clinch up again and Maia with a trip but Miller bounces back to his feet. Right hand lands for Miller and the round ends. Close round but I'd favor Maia slightly. Maia 10-9 Round 2 - Maia lands a body kick in an exchange. Leg kick by Miller and a counter left by Maia. Right hand counter by Maia lands. Left hand lands for Miller now. Left hand return by Maia. Right hand by Maia lands hard to the side of Miller's head. Another counter right lands for Maia and he's winning the stand-up here. Leg kick by Miller. And another. Miller with a few punches to the body. Front kick by Miller and Maia isn't landing quite as frequently now. Jab by Maia and now a left hand. Right hand by Miller as he pushes forward. The round ends and it's 10-9 Maia on my scorecard. Not a really great fight and if you had told me that it'd be fought standing up and Maia would be up 2 rounds to 0 I'd not have believed you. Round 3 - Miller with a left hand early. Maia pushes in and presses Miller against the cage. Uppercut by Miller and they separate. Right hand by Miller and Maia looked a bit hurt. Miller tries to follow him to the flood but instead gets taken down by Maia. Short punches by Maia but Miller uses the cage to stand back up. Maia shoots in and Miller avoids but then Maia shoots again and gets the takedown. Now Miller doesn't have a back to the cage so he can't wall walk back up. Miller scrambles back to the cage but is eating some punches from Maia. Miller gets butterfly guard and gets his back to the cage again but can't stand up. Miller gets a leg up for a triangle but can't get the other butterfly out to finish the submission. The round ends and it appeared to be 10-9 Maia again. Official Scorecards: 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 all for Maia. Demian Maia wins by unanimous decision.
Brian Stann vs. Phil Davis: Round 1 - Davis is throwing a jab early. Davis shoots in and pushes Stann's back against the cage. Stann keeps an underhook to defend and keep standing. Now Stann escapes back to the center of the cage. Stann with a nice right hand. Left hand counter for Stann over a sloppy punch from Davis. Leg kick by Stann. Davis with a really wide, ugly punch that misses but he is able to get a takedown into side control. Stann gets half guard. He attempts to stand up and Davis takes his back and flattens him out. Rolls to give up mount. Again Stann gives up his back. The round ends and it was a clear 10-9 Davis, but his stand-up is brutal. Round 2 - Davis was able to get a takedown again and get mount but the back to half guard. Davis works for a kimura and uses that to get back to mount. Davis in mount landing a few punches. Not a lot to describe but Davis in mount doing work. Stann uses the cage to try and escape but gets cradled. Now Davis is laying heavy knees into the body and arm of Stann. Davis now switches and works punches to the head again. The round ends and it was 10-8 Davis on my card. Round 3 - Davis is looking to avoid fully exchanging this round. Front kick lands for Davis. Another takedown for Davis and again Stann gives up his back. Now back to side control. Back to mount. The round is moving by with Davis just kind of smothering from the mount, occasionally taking the back, and then again moving back to mount. Armbar attempt as the round ends by Davis. 10-8 Davis again makes it 30-25 on my card. Phil Davis wins by unanimous decision.
Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago - Round 1 - Swick with a leg kick that misses to start the fight. Trading punches now with neither guy really landing anything to write home about. Leg kick by Swick and a right hand. Both men are missing a ton of punches this round. Paulo with a wide left that glances. Swick manages to put Thiago on the ground with about twenty seconds left and that single takedown probably gives him a 10-9 round. Round 2 - Both men land early leg kicks and miss punches. Right hand lands hard for Swick. They're exchanging and Thiago drops Swick. Thiago follows Swick to the ground and locks up a darce and puts Swick to sleep with the submission. That was nasty, nasty stuff. Paulo Thiago wins by technical submission (darce choke), round 2.
Chael Sonnen vs. Nate Marquardt - Round 1 - Front kick by Marquardt. Nate keeps throwing kicks as Sonnen pushes forward. Marquardt gets out of the clinch. Takedown by Chael and Marquardt catches the head but can't finish the choke. Chael postures up and drops an elbow. More big elbows by Chael and he's really dominating from the top. Sonnen continuing to work over the body in between shots to the head. Flying knee by Marquardt and Chael takes him down. Back to the top with elbows and Chael has completely controlled this fight. The round ends and it was a clear 10-9 round. Round 2 - Right away Sonnen gets the doube leg and is back to working from the top. Marquardt worked to kimura an arm but Sonnen escapes and is now working out of the half guard. Sonnen is bleeding badly from an elbow that he caught from Nate. Huge punch dropped down by Chael. He's sanding over Nate landing big punches. Nate rolls for a leg but can't finish. Sonnen is bleeding very badly. Sonnen has his back and is working some short punches. Nate throws backward elbows. Eventually Nate stands up but he gets taken right back down. 10-9 Sonnen easy again as the round ends. Round 3 - Marquardt tries for a takedown of his own but can't finish it and gets taken down in return. Sonnen gets back control and eventually back to half guard. Nate manages to escape back to his feet. Chael shoots in and is caught in a deep choke. It's close to finished, Sonnen is turning purple but manages to get his head out finally. Nate with a sweep and he's on top in north-south now. The fight ends and I'd give that round to Sonnen also to make it 30-27. Official scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Chael Sonnen wins by unanimous decision.
Mark Coleman vs. Randy Couture - Round 1 - Jab by Couture. Left hook by Coleman and Randy continues to work the jab. Now a right hand by Randy lands. Leg kick by Coleman. Right hands by Coleman hurt Randy and make him back off. Both men work the jab. Right hands by Randy and Coleman is hurt now. Randy with uppercuts from the clinch now in old school dirty boxing work. Coleman is having trouble in the clinch here as Randy keeps landing uppercuts. Nice body punch by Mark. Randy keeps working to the head with really sharp uppercuts. If Coleman can't find an answer in between rounds it's going to be a really ugly fight for him. 10-9 Couture. Round 2 - Both men working the jab again early. Right hand for Couture stuns Coleman again. Couture now with a takedown into the full mount. Coleman gives up his back and Randy lands punches and then sinks in the rear naked choke. Coleman went to sleep and the fight is all over. Randy Couture wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 2.
