UFC Headed To Scotland

Wow, the Scots get to watch top-notch MMA live but not those of us on the East Coast. Notable quote:

The UFC has already run shows in Manchester, Belfast and London in the last year as it looks to expand its UK operations.

And after being overwhelmed by the number of Scottish fight fans who travelled down to Newcastle for last Saturday's UFC 80 card, the Las Vegas-based fight company want to bring their brand of cage fighting north of the border.

UFC's UK chief Marshall Zelaznik said: "One of the reasons we went to Newcastle last weekend was to give our Scottish fans a break from travelling the length of the country.

"We did some research at Newcastle and we had thousands of Scots in attendance.

"We are going to get to Scotland as soon as we can, and actually we will be flying up there next month to look at the different venues in Scotland."

So yes, more European expansion. We'll see how it goes for them. And I know I sound grumpy when I complain about the UFC a lot, but when you live on the East Coast and all you get is UFC 78-level events, you'd be heated, too.
