Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Rani Yahya

A very interesting fight. First, Yahya's striking is nonexistent, but his chin is surprisingly very good. Yamamoto strikes with knockout power and hit Yahya several times flush, yet was unable to KO him on the feet (he did rock his brains a few times, though).

Second, I'm not sure how Yamamoto would do against Faber. Yamamoto is clearly a much more natural bantamweight and given Faber's excellent strength, conditioning and probable size advantage, Yamamoto would have his work cut out for him.

Three, Yamamoto's striking looked good as did his gameplan. I enjoyed his patience when he rocked Yahya. He could've swarmed him looking for the reckless yet ruthless finish, but he was mostly patient. There were a few times where Yamamoto ate a wild punch from Yahya and that, I think, is what caused him to fight with what I would call an atypical coolness.

Fourth, absolutely brutal finish. Good stuff.
