Fights on Tap is a weekly roundup of all the fights booked in the UFC, Bellator and other promotions.

The UFC returned to action this week and added some new fights to its upcoming schedule. Fifteen of them were either announced or finalized, and a trilogy between two of the best flyweights in the world sits atop the list.

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo have agreed to fight for the third and (presumably) final time at UFC 269 in December. Moreno and Figueiredo fought to a majority draw in their first outing at UFC 256, where they were immediately rebooked to meet again at UFC 263. The ‘Assassin Baby’ put a definitive end to the rematch after he submitted Figuieredo via third-round rear-naked choke to acquire the flyweight championship. Although he expressed interest in other contenders like Alexandre Pantoja for his first title defense, it appears as though Moreno must close this chapter with Figueiredo.

Bellator made a change to its Light Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament as Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson was forced out of his semifinal fight with Vadim Nemkov due to an undisclosed illness. His replacement is Julius Anglickas, who not only has the opportunity to dethrone Nemkov, but also move on to the finals of the $1 million tournament.
