Conor McGregor did a lot of things to psyche himself up before his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Those things included deplorable statements and threats to his opponent, which continued—and intensified—after McGregor was soundly beaten, for a second time, by the American.
McGregor’s extreme trash talk, which included death threats, came off as an attempt by the ‘Notorious’ to inflate his own ego and belief that he could win. However, as we saw on Saturday, those attempts proved fruitless.
Another thing McGregor did to pump himself up was turning a unsuspecting security guard into a punching bag. Check out the video below to see McGregor in the cage throwing punches towards the man, who just stood there motionless. At one point McGregor throws high kick that narrowly misses the man’s nose. Remarkably the security guard doesn’t flinch at all.

After McGregor lost to Poirier by TKO, due to a broken leg that came after a dominant 10-8 round for Poirier, that security guard helped escort the Irishman out of the arena.
This isn’t the first time McGregor has had an interaction with an official in and around the cage. At Bellator 187 in 2017, after his friend Charlie Ward got a win over John Redmond, McGregor stormed into the cage to celebrate and wound up shoving referee John Goddard.
