Newly-crowned BKFC cruiserweight champion Hector Lombard gets into a post-fight brawl with Lorenzo Hunt on Saturday at BKFC 18.

Saturday night’s BKFC 18 ended with a bizarre turn of events. It involved UFC veteran Hector Lombard and MMA fighter turned BKFC cruiserweight Lorenzo Hunt.

Lombard was fresh off his controversial fourth-round TKO victory over fellow UFC alum Joe Riggs to bag the BKFC cruiserweight title. Shortly after, Hunt went into the ring to approach the newly-crowned champion, as we’ve seen multiple times across prizefighting.

Irked by what seemed like an attempt to steal his thunder that night, Lombard responded with a two-punch combination as Riggs held him back. This odd twist to the night visibly shocked Hunt himself, as you’ll see in the videos below.

The 43-year-old Lombard so far holds an undefeated 3-0 record in the BKFC since his signing in early 2020. His last fight happened against fellow UFC vet Kendall Grove, whom he knocked out in the first round last September.

The 38-year-old Hunt, meanwhile, is currently on a four-fight win streak and is likely Lombard’s next challenger.

After this scuffle. former Bellator heavyweight Joey Beltran defended his BKFC heavyweight belt with a unanimous win over Sam Shewmaker. The card also saw the bare knuckle debuts of Thiago Alves and Pearl Gonzalez.

Alves—a former UFC welterweight title challenger—TKO’d Ulysses Diaz in the third round to win the vacant BKFC welterweight title. Gonazelz—formerly of the UFC and Invicta FC—comfortably beat Charisa Sigala by decision.

Also on the card Luis Palomino defended his BKFC lightweight title with a TKO over Tyler Goodjohn and Julian ‘Let my bang bro!’ Lane beat Jake Bostwick by decision.

The prelim card saw three fights end in less than 35 seconds. The quickest of those was a 5-second knockout by Eduardo Conception over Gabriel Brown.
