Bellator MMA welcoming back fans at Mohegan Sun Arena in June

It won’t be full capacity but there will be fans nevertheless.

For the first time since the coronavirus outbreak was officially declared a pandemic, Bellator MMA will have fans in attendance at its shows.

The promotion announced on Wednesday that a limited number of tickets will be on sale to the public for Bellator 260 on June 11th and Bellator 261 on June 25th, both at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. This Friday’s Bellator 259 show, which will see Cris Cyborg take on Leslie Smith for Cyborg’s women’s featherweight title, will remain behind closed doors.

It should be noted that Connecticut has fully vaccinated roughly half of its total population and was the first to vaccinate more than half of its adults. Positivity rates and hospitalizations have declined sharply and they’ve lifted the mask mandate for fully vaccinated people as of today (May 19th).

Bellator 260 features a welterweight title defense for Douglas Lima against the undefeated Yaroslav Amosov, while Bellator 261’s headliner is an interim heavyweight title between Timothy Johnson and Valentin Moldavsky.
