A new champ means a newly configured pound-for-pound list. It always seems to end up that way, and when Francis Ngannou viciously knocked out former belt-holder Stipe Miocic in the UFC 260 headliner to earn gold, it set him rising way up the P4P list.
Other than that, there wasn’t a lot of movement division-wise. Vicente Luque’s huge win over Tyron Woodley turned him into a real contender at 170 overnight, so that was good. But that was about it from a Covid-diminished nine-fight card.
Here’s a look at all the changes this week:
Men’s P4P - Alex Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya rise one spot each to now sit at three and four. Ngannou is up a huge eight spots to take over the five position. Stipe plummets four spots to seven, and will probably continue to fall in the near future. Jan Blachowicz, Max Holloway, Deiveson Figueiredo, and Justin Gaethje all move down a spot each to sit at eight through 11 respectively. Robert Whittaker falls two to 13.
Heavyweight - New champ! Stipe falls to the number one contender spot.

Welterweight - Luque’s win over the former champ has finally got him some legit rankings cred. He moves up four spots to sit at six, while Woodley falls three spots to nine. Michael Chiesa also fell a spot to seven.
