The main event of UFC 260 will feature a rematch for the heavyweight title as current champion Stipe Miocic (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) will attempt to defend his belt against #1 contender Francis Ngannou (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC). UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 airs live from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas this Saturday, March 27th. The main card will start with a fight time of 10:00 p.m. ET / 7.00 p.m. PT, with the ESPN+ prelims beginning at 8:00 p.m. and the early prelims kicking off at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT.

How do these two stack up?

Miocic: 38 years old | 6’4” | 80” reach
Ngannou: 34 years old | 6’4” | 83” reach

What have these two done recently?

Miocic - W - Daniel Cormier (DEC) | W - Daniel Cormier (TKO) | L - Daniel Cormier (KO)
Ngannou: W - Jairzinho Rozenstruik (KO) | W - Junior dos Santos (TKO) | W - Cain Velasquez (KO)

How did these two get here?

Three years ago, Miocic dismantled the hype train of Ngannou by winning a one-sided unanimous decision at UFC 220 to defend his heavyweight title. Miocic has fought three times against the same opponent since then in Daniel Cormier. Losing by KO in their first outing, Miocic would make the improvements needed to reclaim his belt in their rematch and defend it in their trilogy fight. There have been no signs of Miocic slowing down, as the current champion performed well in the smaller APEX cage at UFC 252. The question is, can Miocic repeat what he did to Ngannou in their first fight?

Consecutive losses to Miocic and Derrick Lewis in 2018 would light a fire under Ngannou’s skin. “The Predator” has won four straight fights since, with all but one of them lasting under a minute. Ngannou has blitzed past former champions in Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, with the power of the Cameroonian making him a fan favorite at heavyweight. It’s hard to know how much Ngannou has improved his wrestling since the loss to Miocic, as none of his recent fights have hit the mat. Despite the outcome of their first fight Ngannou is the betting favorite in this rematch.

Why should you care?

It’s a matchup between the two best heavyweights in the world right now, and it’s extremely hard to predict the outcome.
