Darren Till has come rushing to the aid of Israel Adesanya following Uriah Hall’s recent comments about the latter ‘picking his opponents’ and potentially avoiding tough fights.
“He’s picking fights, and maybe he has that leverage,” Hall told What the Heck. “But maybe [I think that way] because I want to fight him so bad. I really want to fight him.”
“Adelasagne ain’t picking his opponents. He’s fought all killers. Just my opinion,” Till, who currently goes by the Twitter moniker ‘Karen Till’ following his controversial run-in with local police over a mask exemption, replied on social media yesterday.
As much as I think Uriah hall is a tough fight for Adelasagne in fact for anyone in the division.— karen Till (@darrentill2) February 1, 2021
Adelasagne ain’t picking his opponents.
He’s fought all killers.
Just my opinion.
Till and Adesanya share somewhat of a bromance on Instagram, with both men bantering back-and-forth and sharing DMs on social media. The two middleweights have also both been highly complimentary of each other in interviews, with ‘The Last Stylebender’ admitting that he was inspired by ‘The Gorilla’s’ performance against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244.
As far as Hall’s claim goes, Adesanya fought a who’s who of contenders on his road to title contention before KO’ing Robert Whittaker to win the middleweight title at UFC 243. The undefeated Nigerian-New Zealand talent went on to defend his belt against Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa before announcing his move up to light heavyweight in hopes of becoming a simultaneous two-division champion.
Adesanya will take on Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight strap at UFC 259 on March 6 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
