The unlikely trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder has ended. After a draw on the first fight, and a particularly dominant performance from Fury on the second, most people didn’t think we’d need to see a third contest, at least this soon. They proved everyone wrong though, and the fight proved to be far better, more entertaining, and more competitive than the first two combined.
It was a back and forth fight, with multiple knockdowns scored by both men. Each looked very very close to being finished multiple times, but somehow still kept going in insane displays of heart. It’s an instant classic of a fight, that will likely go down among those best heavyweight title fights ever in history, likely the top in this era at the very least.
There were five knockdowns in total, with the final one finally ending the fight and knocking out Wilder in the 11th round.
