UFC 257 medical suspensions: Conor McGregor out for 180 days pending leg x-ray

Dustin Poirier’s leg kicks might sideline Conor McGregor for a long time.

At this weekend’s UFC 257 Dustin Poirier got revenge on Conor McGregor, TKOing the Irishman inside of two rounds in their main event lightweight duel. The last time these two met, back in 2014, McGregor left victorious, TKOing Poirier; also in the second round.

To earn his most famous win to date ‘Diamond’ battered McGregor’s legs with brutal leg kicks. And, according to the official medical suspensions, those kicks may have left lasting damage on ‘Notorious’.

According to details released to MixedMartialArts.com McGregor needs to be cleared with a leg injury or face a lengthy 180 day suspension.

McGregor’s not the only fighter facing a potential 180 ban from competition. A few other fighters also need x-rays to clear them before they can return to competition.

Here’s the full list of suspensions:

Dustin Poirier (defeated Conor McGregor by TKO), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Conor McGregor, 180 Days or cleared by negative right tibula/fibula x-ray. Minimum suspension of 45 days (30 days no contact) for TKO.

Michael Chandler (defeated Dan Hooker by TKO) 7 days for mandatory rest.

Dan Hooker, 30 days no contact for TKO.

Joanne Calderwood (defeated Jessica Eye by unanimous decision), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Jessica Eye, 45 days for left brow laceration.

Makhmud Muradov (defeated Andrew Sanchez by TKO) 30 days for hard bout and 21 days no contact.

Andrew Sanchez, 180 days or cleared by negative nasal and left tibula/fibula x-rays. Minimum suspension of 45 days (30 days no contact) for TKO.

Marina Rodriguez (defeated Amanda Ribas by TKO), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Amanda Ribas, 45 days (30 days no contact) for TKO.

Arman Tsarukyan (defeated Matt Frevola) by unanimous decision, 30 days for left brow and scalp laceration and 21 days no contact.

Matt Frevola, 180 days or cleared by negative right hand x-ray. Minimum suspension 30 days (21 days no contact).

Brad Tavares (defeated Antonio Carlos Junior by unanimous decision), 7 days mandatory rest

Antonio Carlos Junior, 30 days for hard bout and 21 days no contact.

Julianna Pena (defeated Sara McMann by submission), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Sara McMann, 30 days for hard bout and 21 days no contact.

Marcin Prachnio (defeated Khalil Rountree by unanimous decision), 30 days for hard bout and 21 days no contact.

Khalil Rountree, 30 days for left ankle pain and 21 days no contact.

Movsar Evloev (defeated Nik Lentz by split decision), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Nik Lentz, 45 days for right brow laceration and 30 days no contact.

Amir Albazi (defeated Zhalgas Zhumagulov by unanimous decision), 30 days for hard bout and 21 days no contact.
