UFC 252 video: Embedded, part 3 - ‘I hope that happens’

Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 252.

UFC 252 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start off in Daniel Cormier’s room at the hotel. He’s playing UFC 4 on XBox? I think? Even he’s not sure. He re-enacts his fight with Stipe Miocic. He did all the voiceovers for the announcing so it’s more special to him. He digs the gameplay. It sounds like a commercial for the game though. He won the simulated fight via head kick.

Felice Herrig makes her first appearance, and goes through the COVID protocols. John Dodson too. He says he’ll be there for testing at 3am and wake everyone up. Herrig is wearing a body suit, which she likes, but she worries about having to pee.

Marlon Vera makes his first appearance as well. He’s prepared for the fight, and it’s just a usual fight week. He FaceTimes with his wife. He’s ready for a fist fight. Sean O’Malley drove up from Phoenix. He’s quarantining, waiting on the COVID test results. He says fight week goes by so fast, and he’s just trying to enjoy it.

Junior dos Santos shows up. He’s asked if any of his teammates are fighting on the card. In fact, his opponent is the only one! They don’t train together now, but Jairzinho Rozenstruik is at ATT now, and they’ll work together in the future. He thinks the fight will be very interesting.

Rozenstruik says quarantine is easy because that’s basically what he does when preparing for a fight anyway. Just training and home. He doesn’t have a lot to say about Dos Santos.

Miocic shows up at his hotel room, where all his meal prep is already done. All the meals fit into the freezer nicely.

And that’s it! UFC 252 goes down this Saturday night in Vegas.
