UFC 251 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off back in Vegas, where Kamaru Usman is finally leaving for Abu Dhabi. Dana White talks to Usman about sleeping on planes. Dana says he snores a lot and Usman is going to want to move.
Max Holloway is given his own action figure. He loves it. He’s excited that they have his tattoos. He wants his own cereal and drink now. He calls his son and shows it to him. Alex Volkanovski is happy to see people now that he’s not quarantined. The fighters do some remote media. Volkanovski is surprised by Holloway being a “sore loser”, and he wants to finish him this time. He does a photo shoot with the belt.
We get our first look at Petr Yan, who does some media in Russian. He didn’t think he’d be fighting for a title this early in his UFC career, but here we are. Him and his team then go for a run outside - not before joking around with the hotel staff though. He’s trying to adjust to the heat. Yan talks about watching Jose Aldo’s fights and even training with him a few years ago.
Usman is about to land. He says the flight felt short and was good. There’s a UFC Fight Island flag on the front of the plane.
And that’s it! UFC 251 goes down on Fight Island this Saturday night.
